Position Summary:  The Adaptive Sports Center is looking for the right person to take on the position of Grants Coordinator.  The organization is at the end of a campaign to build a new facility.  We anticipate the facility will be fully operational by winter 2020, at which point we will begin to expand our programs and serve more people.  In order to accomplish this, we will need to raise more money to support our annual operations.  As a result, this position has potential to grow with the organization and therefore we are looking for a highly motivated, confident and assertive individual to take this position to the next level.

The Grants Coordinator (GC) works closely with the Development Director (DD) in the planning and execution of the annual Development Plan for the Adaptive Sports Center (ASC).  ASC fundraising efforts generate approximately $2,000,000 annually to support operations and include grants, events, contributions from individual and business, major gifts and corporate sponsorship.  Additionally, over the past 2.5 years, the organization has raised over $12,000,000.

The GC’s primary responsibility is to successfully manage and grow the organization’s grant program to support our expanding operations, programs and special projects.  The GC will be charged with aggressively increasing grant income to support ASC operations.  The GC currently brings in approximately $130,000 annually through grants to support programs and operations, in addition to $150,000 for our capital campaign.  The overarching goal of this position in the future is to double our grants income in the next 3-4 years and sustain that growth in the longer-term.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the Grants Coordinator will assist the Development Director with other duties, including administrative tasks.
