PSIA Adaptive Level 1-2-3 PSIA Rocky Mountain Trainer Where were you born and/or raised? I was born and raised in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. How long have you lived in Crested Butte? I became an alpine instructor in Argentina and then moved to Crested Butte with my son Alvaro, who was 5 at the time, in order to get my adaptive certifications. Why did you choose to work with people with disabilities? I grew up in a ski resort where my dad was a ski school director. I was exposed to teaching for as long as I can remember. In Crested Butte I get to know incredible people all the time, both participants and co-workers. How did you come to work with the ASC? How long have you been here? After I had taught alpine skiing for 10 years, the Adaptive Sports Center came to Argentina to train instructors in adaptive skiing because there was no program available there. I fell in love with the idea right away. Since then I've been teaching adaptive skiing. How long have you been skiing/snowboarding? For as long as I can remember. What's your favorite restaurant in Crested Butte? The Sunflower at the moment. And Lil's. What is your favorite ski resort? Crested Butte of course, if I'm not heli-skiing in Alaska.
